Wednesday, September 30th, 2009I am so confused on streaming video. We have a dedicated server and webhost tells me that you need to install third party software on video. ok. good.
The problem is. . . I do not understand what the software. Someone told me to get: ffmpeg software. . . I read it and says it will convert the files on flash memory. My video is already in Flash. I have Adobe Premiere and when you finish editing I have the opportunity to save files as Flash.
As you can see – I'm very confused, can someone explain the process for me. Thank you!

We moved to another state and now have unlimited bandwidth and space to convert to FLV is not a problem.
There is a script in the world which allows users to upload videos as they want and create a thumbnail? Using a standard player?
1. Users upload a video on my server and create a jpg thumbnail.
2nd a page that displayed images.
3rd click and play.

You Tube has started to develop in the wrong direction for me. At first, this "oh so great" site video. Now I see videos from video quality Cruddy, which makes most of them are a waste of time to see. Therefore, it is clear that a "better" hosting will prevail through this age we have Youtube.
